Firefox Bookmarks
Hello Earth.
Earthling number 2,008,593,001 here.
Nothing against Internet Explorer but i prefer Firefox as Explorer seems to lag and drag since the "tabbed" version
Having two computers. A laptop and a desk top type machine computer. I would like to share bookmarks between the two. The problem is that Firefox uses one bookmarks.html page to store bookmarks.
When i import bookmarks from one machine to another it creates duplicates under another folder.
This Earthingling does not like that.
Seeking Earthling who knows how to compile them all without doing it one by one.
Good Day.

But what if...
Say you want to share all your music files with a friend and he wants to listen to all your music.
You would copy all your files and paste them into his folder.
Then you copy all the files in his folder - including the ones you already gave him, and paste them into yours.
(assuming there are no folders within folders)
To avoid duplicate files you would either overwrite each one or hit NO when asked if you want to replace the file.
Then you would have the exact same files in each folder without loosing anything on either side. And without creating duplicate songs.
That's what I'm trying to do, see?
Like pouring two drinks back and forth between glasses so that each glass has the exact same taste.
I'm not sure how to do that with 2 different HTML.files.
I want the same links on each different computer. Without loosing the original links and without creating an entirely new list of duplicate links.
Any ideas??
~Thanks

Wall Street Journal and the Youtube
So which would make your smile smile wider?
Being in the Wall Street Journal or being featured on Youtube?
Whats that?
Have i ever been in the Wall Street Journal, Oh yeah sure, they did an article once.
But, it was like a fart that im not sure anyone noticed.
OK, thats not to respectful.
Indeed i was flattered, and happy.
I answered some very short email questions for the lady doing the article.
Waited a little while.
Tried to conjure up in my head the image of a man at a breakfast table reading about the enigma - that is me. Perhaps watching a couple videos on the blog.
(im a tuck driver - i talk about driving over here)
And then one day i read the article and that was that.
Couple hundred more hits on the Hit-O-Meter.
Here is the article.
see "Truck Driver Blog"
Wall Street Journal big grin. Big big grin.
Tonight i was on the youtube watching rc videos and i see my face on the youtube page. On the right. I smiled. and smiled... And then farted.
Here be the screen capture
see [top right picture]
see [top right picture]

If you are viewing this within the next day or so they put me on this page also.
The video they featured had almost NO editing. No effects no obscure comedy references or cartoons. It was just me talking into the camera about truck safety and i did it in one take. The video was in response to another trucker (Steve) on youtube who i kinda know - (not in real life) and i got inspired to talk into a camera. Something i have a hard time doing because i HATE speaking to inanimate objects.
Ill have a teeth shattering smile if they put me on the front page. Till then.
Here was the featured video.

March Fourth Marching Band
Thats the March Fourth Marching Band.
filmed at the Vancouver Peace and Justice Fair.
Vancouver Washington
September 2007
this was made with one person, two cameras. The zomming in and out and to and fro with the stationary camera was done after the shoot. With software. On a computer. Woulda had more of the hand held stuff but i was paranoid something might happen to the still camera. So i would shoot and then go back and stand near the tripod whenever it seemed like the right thing to do.
One man operation.
Cause im a loner, a rebel..
They are on tour right now. And they want you to go see them.
So go see em., you might like em.

Airstream
[Link] this.
These two people are living in their Airstream while on their Long Long Honeymoon.
And they make very good videos.
And this dude has an airstream coffee cart. Cosmic Cafe.
Someday ill announce that this dude is living in an Airstream and running a Airstream coffee cart. (in two different trailers)
Phil Hendrie is back!
i just found this out.
Phil Hendrie is back on the air.
http://www.newphilhendrieshow.com/radiostations.html
From what ive read he is going to be beating the political hammer on the table.
More-so than before.
And doing voices.
Im actually listening to it now and he just finished a political rant - with an abundance of sound effects - and other odd audio clips - on top of the audio from a youtube video.
While wearing clown shoes and eating a stick of butter.
Now he is doing a telephone character voice. [Larry Grover talking about Hillary Clinton]
His phone sounds different.
Im glad he is back. Now we need Art Bell to come back out of retirement for the 6th time and then for Phil to go back off then air.. and on and on. Whats with these talk show guys hating their jobs so much but constantly returning to them?
Now he is back to ranting. Ughhh, tough to listen to.
So anyway, hes back.
And he no, he wasn't wearing clown shoes and eating butter. that i know of.
ANd another link - newphilhendrieshow listen to the shows you missed by listing to something called a mp3.
AM 860 KPAM for you Portland people. 10pm - 1am

2007 Adult Soap Box Derby Racers
Update:
Ive changed plans a bit. Instead of trying to show the process of
building, I'm going to be running around a couple weeks before the
race, (before the chaos) video taping the finished cars and teams. It will be simple and casual.
People talking about the car or whatever they wish.
I will be shooting the entire day of the race, the focus is going
to more of the race day itself.
I would like still like to meet people before hand if that possible. It doesn't matter if the car is finished. I can either show up a week before or next week. The more footage the better!
~Aaron
I almost scrapped this idea because i didn't have enough time to make it happen. I have time now. So EMAIL ME!!!!
I have three teams, i would like more.

2007 Portland Rose Festival Fireworks
.
2007 PortlaAND rOSE FESTIVAL fireworks with random caps lock effect.

Click To Play
We were riding around on bikes and stopped to watch the fireworks. We were under the Hawthorne bridge. I love me some fireworks. And just plain old fire.
But.
Fireworks now remind me of the (CNN videos) beautiful mess we made in Iraq.
I know we should kill them before they kill us and if we don't fight them there they will kill us here and we should stay the course and then change course and then after a troop surge we should declare "plan B is to make sure plan A works". Surge or no surge, whatever
I'm so sick of 10 word or less solutions.
I doubt anything will change in Iraq, but PLEASE mr president, PLEASE. Do NOT bomb or attack Iran.
It will not improve the situation in Iraq. or Afghanistan.

Those are a bunch of Starbucks cups lit and diffused. Don’t remember how I did that but there were no computers was involved.
That is a billboard of a kangaroo painting an x. Over the course of weeks he painted three more. I think that was a Aussi beer ad.
That is a child throwing money into a fountain at Balboa park in San Diego.
Albert Einstein.
That is her eye.
That is the San Diego airport. Time lapse shot at night.
Don’t know why I put this in front of the camera. Guy on motorcycle
There are two pictures there that line up nicely on the contact sheet. Jack in the Box drive through.
A gargoyle.
Can at the train station.
Coins and shadows.
The Mormon church in San Diego
Two kids kissing. (The best picture I have ever taken).
Very expensive house, don’t know who lives there.
Harley man eye,
Harley man face.

I am trying to find some people competing in the Adult Soap Box derby in August.
I sent an email to http://www.soapboxracer.com/ but they didn't reply and I'm not sure they can give out that info to random people.
So, do YOU know of any teams competing this year?
I want to follow a team (or two) around and film them creating and making the car. I don't have tons of gear and a big crew of people and big demands. It will just be me, though i might have a friend along to help now and then. I will not get in the way or chase anyone around like reality TV.
80 - 90% of the movie will be pre-race and the rest will be the day of the race. If you or someone you know is officially going to race this year please contact me!
Ill buy you a beer!
Ill buy you three beers!
Ill give you a DVD of the finished movie!
And ill include you in it!
Ill give the team(s) and anyone who is a major part of the movie a copy of the movie on DVD.
I make movies part time, I'm not involved with any studio's or anything. Though i would like to show the movie on Portland cable access.
Thanks in advance!
Oh, if you are not involved but know of a way i could find some teams and people competing, that would be a big help too obviously.
Signed, Aaron

Which i quite enjoyed.

Canon HV20 review
.
I remember sitting in class one day as a kid and thinking. WOW. I can SEE!!!! I didn't like wearing those new glasses but man - oh - man. Everything was so clear and sharp. In an instant i became ugly AND i could read the chalk board.
Some years later (5months ago) i saw some high definition footage from the Canon XH A1 on a digital video forum. (dvinfo.net (Look for Steven Dempsey's posts))
Amazing Amazing Amazing. Footage.
That's a XH A1 picture. Not the hv20. Its a beauty.
The cost for the latest and greatest AMAZING new "glasses" (XH A1).
4 dollar signs and ninety five cents. Side by side in price tag formation.
$3,499.95
OUCH.
Three and a half grand. Do i really need a fifth camera? Well, fourth. One is barely alive.
For three grand i could travel to India. For three grand i could double the amount of cameras i have, buy two more tripods, 12 new websites, 4 calling birds, 3 french toasts, 2 turtle doves and a brand new pair of eye seeing glasses. With some change left over for a couple pounds of back bacon. and beer
Then one day.......
i handed over my credit card.
And, instead of spending 3.5 thousand dollars i spent $1000.
Its been almost a month and i am quite happy with this camera.
The Canon HV20 does not look much different than any other hand held palm-sized camera. And that is my biggest complaint.
2nd complaint - when you have the LCD screen flipped out It is difficult to hit the manual focus button.
The Canon HV 20 isn't much bigger than a Coke can and weighs only 1.2 lb (544.3g) For someone who carries around his camera everywhere he goes, its nice to have such a small camera with Big Camera powers/quality. For someone asking the local paper mill if they would be willing to allow me to shoot a documentary. Showing up on the first day of the shoot with the HV20.
Not-so-impressive.
I wanted the grand piano but bought the foot long Casio keyboard. I WISH there was something wrong with this camera. Then my problem with the outside of the camera would justify the grumbling.
I wish the outside, the shell. Was bigger, bulkier. With bigger buttons and knobs and switches.
From tape to Computer
I had some problems trying to edit footage at first. The higher bit rates really choke After Effects. Adobe Premiere handles these files fine. I capture the video off the camera using Premiere Pro 2.0 and firewire. (HDV capture) The HV20 captures images in genuine HD resolution of 1920 x 1080. If you capture at that size you can expect Gigabyte sized files for anything over 5 minutes.
Some sample footage... 85mb rendered out at 1280x720 (Low light conditions in the restaurant, Punched up the contrast while editing the cat stuff. The camera was capable of correcting this, if i had adjusted the settings correctly)
Manual Controls
The HV20 allows you to control and adjust the Shutter speed, Aperture and Exposure. I read somewhere that the HV 20 has poor low light performance. NOT TRUE. It does just as well as my 3 chip gs500. If not better.
Shutter priority. 1/6 - 1/2000.
Aperture Priority. F1.8 - 8
It also has some minor control options for sharpness, contrast, color depth and brightness.
This little Coke can of a camera even has Zebra stripes! The settings are 70% Zebra, 100% Zebra and Peaking.
The HV20 has 4 different zoom modes.
Slow, Fast and a mixture of slow and fast (SPEED 2) And Variable. A touch sensitive mode that combines the slow, medium and fast. It still has that non human feel though. Even in slow mode it doesn't "ease into" zoom. Something most cameras do not do anyway.
The HV20 has a focus assistant which allows you to see a close up of the subject without having to zoom or touch any other controls. It's like a un-obtrusive magnifying glass that disappears when you touch any other button or control.
Impressed yet? Its got enough under the "hood" to make your neck ache. From looking down, as you press buttons. For hours. O.K not hours.
Super powers. The camera has Super Powers i tell you.
Presets
The HV20 has all the usual presets. Tungsten, daylight, cloudy, auto white balance. You can start shooting right out of the box without looking at the manual.
24p
I am not going to explain or comment on the 24p feature. Go here or here to learn about it. wiki 24p . And if 24p is a major concern read the forums. dvxuser and dvinfo
I prefer the sharp crispness of the High Definition non- 24p mode.
Am i happy with the HV20.
Sure, I'm happy. This camera has changed the way i shoot - and what i shoot. I'm taping stuff i wouldn't normally just to see what it looks like in high definition. It reminds me of my first pair of glasses. It reminds me of broadband v.s. dial-up. If you want to make the leap and are tired of shopping for $3000 + cameras, the HV20, though it may be small, is good. Its a good coke can camera.

I'm sorry, but I'm still not sold on the dinky size, for what this thing can do. The miniaturization of electronics is part of what makes living in this day and age so exciting. But, at a certain point we are going to need a pill that will shrink our hands to the size they were when we were 6 years old. Canon, design a HD camera the size of the xh, sell it for half the cost of the XH and me and all the other almost professional/hobbyist will but it!
And that is the End.
Though i will probably edit this post 5 more times in the next few days.

road 82
Why would someone choose road82 as a user name or a ID?
Why would i use road82 you might ask?
I used to work for a company and I would drive to Chehalis Washington everyday.
I would exit on Exit 82.
I always liked the number 8. And 2 fits pretty nicely next to 8. Like a pat on the back.
Here EIGHT, have a TWO.
And then you smack Eight on the back.
Exit 82 sounded like a porn site.
Another 1200 miles of thinking and i came up with road82.
I remember when road82 would come up with less then 50 results in a Google search. Now it has about 2,560 results Google road82 .
I did a "road82" search today and found this site 5 links down.
I don't know who this girl is but she is 25 and lives in Germany.
Mama looooooves daddy
